Like our logo? Thank Mark Luckie

We opened our ONA09 logo contest back in January. By early February, we received 20 entries and put it to the ONA09 conference committee for a vote.

The winning entry was submitted by Mark S. Luckie, a multimedia journalist, freelance web and graphic designer, and author of 10,000 Words, a multimedia blog dedicated to technical trends in journalism. Mark’s mission, which can be found on his personal site, is similar to ONA’s — “to help usher in a new era in journalism by using and sharing innovative multimedia and online tools.” (If you’re not familiar with 10,000 Words, check it out. In less than two minutes, you’ll learn something new. Promise.)

A big thank you to everyone who submitted an entry. We hope you’ll try again for ONA10.

So, ONA09 gets a great logo, Mark gets a full registration to ONA09 and you get a great conference. How cool is that?
